Wow! The responses for the 2D art position have been great! We’ve been amazed at the level of local talent here and the desire to work on the game. I wish we could use everyone, but we really just need one for now. I consider us very, very lucky for having such awesome people to choose from. Now comes the hard part though… making a decision! We’ll keep you updated and thanks again!

Site Updates

I heard of a vicious Word Press hack so I upgraded the site to 2.8.4. I wasn’t sure what I was in for but wow, fast and painless.
The forums now will let you post something in them :) Not sure how I missed that little feature but it’s all fixed up now. I think. If you have trouble, shoot me an email so I’ll know there is an issue.

On webby stuff…

Wordpress.  Meh, not to shabby.  I am not afraid to admit that me and html/css are not the closest of friends.  I have to do google searches for tag syntax all the time.  So, it went without saying that we were going to need a good content management system to handle everything we are planning on slapping up on this site.  Now, I don’t know how many of you are familiar with 2D-Boy but, I loved the layout of their site.  I dropped Kyle an email and asked him what they were using and he was kind enough to respond.  Turns out they are running Wordpress as well.  It also freaking turns out that this was very apparent had I just done a view source on their page instead of taking up their time to respond to my dumbass email.  Sometimes, I don’t know, the nuerons just don’t fire like they used to.

Anyway… I think I’m liking Wordpress so far.  Now you know.  Like you cared  =p

Hello world!

It LIVES!

Welcome to Mana Bomb game studios!  We have been secretly working on a cool game targeted for the XBOX 360 and PC platforms.  There will be much more information on that to come.

Who are we??   Glad you asked.  Mana Bomb is Dan Weatherman and Jason Boren (with a lot of help from our friends).  Located in Oklahoma City, we are attempting to bring the indie (meaning broke)  game scene to our neck of the woods.  We really think there is a ton of talent in this area and we can’t wait to uncover the hidden potential here.

In the future, you will be able to track our progress as we develop our game and we will try to keep everyone informed about our hits and misses.

Until next time…
